The past March 10, 2019 I discovered a cabaret burlesque show in Barcelona, it was an opportunity to me to show my view of LGBTI world, just because I felt very well there and the show was produced for a professional actor and dancer (Sebastian Yannucci Urrutia, Chile).
So I started a reportage about that show and I am going to continue doing things around them to make probably an exhibition.
During many years I was trying to do something about, but it was difficult to find an access to do it at my way, I think that right now it is the moment to do it, let’s see whats is going to happen.
My first cameras in analogic era were the Canon T70, then I moved to Nikon, getting several FE-2/FM-2 bodies and many lenses of the Ai and AF in the F system. Later I got a F801.
My favorite lenses were, the 24mm 1:2 Ai-S, 35mm 1:2 Ai-S, 50mm 1:1.8 Ai, 55mm 1:2.8 Ai-S and, the 80-200mm 1:4 Ai-S, during a year I got the 300mm 1:4.5 ED (non IF) Ai modified, other zoom lenses in the AF series were the 24-50mm 1:3,3-4.5 AF and the 85mm 1:1.8 AF-D.
During the time I was working on Nikon I got a Canon t-90 and the excellent FD 80-200mm 1:4L and the FD 28mm 1:2.8, finally I exchanged all that for a second hand EF 85mm 1:1.2L.
In 1997 I bought the EOS 50E but, one year later I went for an EOS 3 + PB-E2. My first EF lenses were the Tamron 20-40mm 1:2.7-3.5 and the 28-135mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS, then I purchased a 50-200mm 1:3.5-4.5 L (second hand), a 28mm 1:1.8, a 50mm 1:1.4 and the 20-35mm 1:2.8L (s.h.). Later I bought a Sigma 70mm 1:2.8 EX Macro and the 24-70mm 1:2.8 EX Asph. DG. And I recieved a Rolleiflex T. Some months before I bought a Fujica GSW 690 that I used in Cuba (with my Nikon system). Yes during some years I was working on Nikon and Canon gear. Later I got an EOS 600 (too noisy) and an EOS 100 QD (perfect for silent shots).
In 2001 I bought my first digital camera, the Canon PowerShot G1 and the next year I got the Olympus Camedia E-20P + grip + wide converter.
Because I did not like the APS-C Canon system, my next camera, in 2006 was the Sony CyberShot DSC-R1 (I still work with it) and in 2008 I bought the EOS 1Ds (s.h.) and later an EOS 600D as a second body. Then I bough a Sigma 150mm 1:2.8 EX Macro DG (I was thinking about three lenses to choose, the 150, the 70-200mm 1:2.8 EX Macro DG or the 120-400mm OS) and a 15-30mm 1:3.5-4.5 EX Asph. DG.
In 2014 I bought my first action camera, a Ricoh WG-M1 (I love that camera for street photography or underwater) and, in 2016 I bought an EOS 1Ds Mk II twice (I broke the first one accidentally) and a Nikonos V + 35mm 1:2.5 and a 15mm 1:2.8 and then I bought a Sigma 120-400 1:4.5-5.6 Apo OS DG that I sold to get a Tamron 100-400mm 1:4.5-6.3 Di VC USD .
Right now (april 2019) I am still happy to work with the EOS 1 Ds Mk II but, I got an EOS 80D and I am really happy, at present I am not thinking about to get an evil camera but, the next step is to get a Sigma 18-35mm 1:1.8 Art, even if I am happy with my old Canon 20-35mm 1:2.8L, the AF it does not work in my 80D at 20mm (even with micro-adjustments), in assisted manual focus, yes, but the real truth is, first I love the focales going to 28mm to 56mm, second, the sharpness quality of that lens and, third, the f:1.8 aperture.
I bought a 14mm 1:2.8L (mk I) and I sold my Sigma 15-30mm.
I like the Fujifilm X system, I am not going to sell my Canon gear because I still work on analogic (I want to make some darkroom sessions with my Kaiser System V) , but the size and weight are perfect. A good idea it could be to get an XT-3 or XT-30 and a XF18mm f:2 R and a XF35mm 1:1.4R and a XF60mm 1:2.4R Macro, at the same time I am still thinking about to get a Fujica GW690 to make some portrait serial (90mm f:3.5).
The Fujifilm XT-30 + 18mm + 35mm + 60mm it is so compact and light…
My actual gear
Digital bodies: Canon EOS 1Ds Mk II, Canon EOS 80D, Sony DSC-R1 and a Ricoh WG-M1.
Analogic bodies: Canon EOS 3 (HS), Canon EOS 100, Nikonos V and Rolleiflex T.
Canon EF lenses: Canon 14mm L, Canon 20-35mm L, Canon 28mm, Canon 50mm, Canon 85mm L, Tamron 100-400mm.
Nikonos lenses: 35mm & 15mm.
My future gear
Digital bodies: Canon EOS R (or Pro model body) or Fujifilm XT-3 (or similar).
Analogic bodies: Fujica 690 GW or Mamiya 7 II.
Why I still work on analogue?
Just because I have an expensive mint condition darkroom gear and I do not want to sell it.
